Ultra-Hard Coating Technology
Achieving High-Hardness Coating through Candy Finish
The defining feature of this timepiece is its exterior finish, realized after years of dedicated development. The candy coating, created exclusively for this model, is applied in five layers, giving it a brilliance unlike any other watch. This innovation was achieved through years of coating research and is handcrafted, piece by piece, by designer Shinji Nukumi. Beyond coating alone, its radiance is brought to life through repeated stages of advanced polishing.
A Coating with Hardness Equivalent to Stainless Steel
Ordinary coatings struggle to withstand daily scratches and impacts, making case finishing with paint extremely challenging. This watch, however, achieves twice the hardness of automotive coatings. Specially developed for this model, the finish reaches a Mohs hardness of 5.5, meeting the ISO 1413 standard for shock resistance (1-meter drop test). With a hardness level equivalent to glass and stainless steel, it offers resilience against scratches, friction, and impacts in everyday use.

Frame Construction for Uncompromising Protection
stainless steel 316L
stainless steel 316L is renowned in watchmaking for its exceptional resistance to corrosion, hypoallergenic properties, and ability to achieve a refined finish—making it the perfect material for timepieces that combine durability with elegance.
Aluminum 7075
Aluminum 7075, renowned as an aerospace-grade alloy, offers exceptional strength with remarkable lightness. When finished with advanced coatings, it becomes the perfect material to embody both endurance and elegance in modern watchmaking.
3. Le Mans Aesthetics of the ’60s
Le mans 1964
The 1964 Le Mans was a stage where speed, endurance, and innovation collided. It was an era where tradition and new challenges intersected, capturing moments when man and machine pushed beyond their limits. Its graceful forms and powerful engineering transcended racing itself, becoming a timeless aesthetic still celebrated today. Our timepiece inherits this very philosophy, shaped through a robust frame structure and innovative technology.
